To make the game easier to play you can write the words down but the challenge is to remember your words.

The cards can be used to play "snap" or a "memory re-call" card game and various other card games.

How To Play: Game 1 Back to Top

1. Each player receives 4 RAS® pieces and 1 runner piece.
Place all the runner pieces at the start position in the central scoring track.
2. A dealer is then chosen to deal the cards (Place cards in the card section area).
3. Each player receives one card face down in turn, and then the second until each player has five cards.
4. Players then turn their cards face up (This is to allow equal time for the dealer).
5. The 3-minute timer is started as the players begin to turn his/her cards face up (Check rules & objectives 2).
6. You can reuse alphabet letters even in the same word e.g. “NOON”.
7. Using the alphabet letters on the 5 cards, players create and memorise 3, 4, and 5 letter words.
8. Players have to place the right number of RAS® pieces on their word length indication areas to show the number of 3, 4, and 5 letter words that have been created.
9. Up to a maximum of 4 words of each length can be created.
10. Points must be awarded in turn starting from the dealer. Remove RAS® piece after each point is awarded (Check rules & objectives 6, 7, 8).
11. A player declares his/her words to the others who then confirm each word (Check rules & objectives 3).
12. Points are won for correct words and the runner piece is moved one place per point in the Orange Zone, towards the centre Gold Zone (Check rules & objectives 1). This counts as a complete round.
13. The dealer changes in a clockwise direction after each complete round. Deal new cards after each complete round.
14. Once you are in the Silver Zone, you need to create a 6 letters or longer word to enter the Gold Zone (Check rules & objectives 4,5).

Suggestion: Game 2 Back to Top

1. Each player receives 12 RAS® pieces and 1 runner piece and award 1 point for each correct word.
2. Rest of the game 2 is same as game 1.
3. Use 2/4 sets of Alphabet Runner® 28 cards for 2 players taking part. (To avoid players getting the same cards).
4. Use 3/4 sets of Alphabet Runner® 42 cards for 3 players taking part. (To avoid players getting the same cards).
5. Use 4/4 sets of Alphabet Runner® 56 cards for 4 players taking part.

Rules and Objectives Back to Top

1. The aim of the game is to be the first player, using his/her runner, to reach the centre Gold Zone.
2. When the 3 minutes have run out you must stop creating words.
3. A dictionary can be used to check words or any other method i.e. computer or internet to settle an unclear word.
4. Using the alphabet letters on your 5 cards plus any other letters matching your player colour from other players cards, create and memorise the longest word possible.
5. Place your RAS® piece on the Alphabet Runner logo in front of you on the board to indicate to other players you have created a long word.
6. 1 Point for each three letter word.
7. 2 Points for each four letter word.
8. 3 Points for each five letter word.
